Mckee’s 37 – Coating Prep Polish

McKee’s 37 Coating Prep Polish is a non-abrasive chemical polish designed to deep-clean automotive paint and remove below-surface contaminants that can interfere with the bonding of ceramic coatings, paint sealants and waxes.

Unlike conventional polishes that may leave behind silicones, waxes, oils, polymers or fillers, Coating Prep Polish is formulated without these ingredients. It leaves the surface clean and residue-free, helping create the ideal foundation for products that require an oil- and wax-free finish.

Specifically developed for permanent and semi-permanent paint coatings, McKee’s 37 Coating Prep Polish allows you to proceed directly to coating application after polishing, without the need for additional chemical stripping with isopropyl alcohol or volatile wax and oil removers, when used as directed.

For a coating to bond properly, paintwork must be free from embedded dirt, gloss-reducing contaminants and residues. Coating Prep Polish removes these unwanted contaminants without leaving behind substances that may compromise coating adhesion.

How to use

Ensure surface is cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight

Hand Application 

• Apply 2-3 pea sized drops of product directly onto a TRC Edgeless 365 Premium Blend Microfibre Towel or a Foam Applicator Pad.
• Thoroughly work the product into the surface
• Remove residue with a clean TRC Creature Premium Blend Microfibre Towel.

Machine Application

• Apply a 2-3 pea sized drops of product directly onto a Buff and Shine Uro-Tec Yellow Polishing Pad.
• Set polisher to a medium speed setting and thoroughly work the product into the surface.
• Once you have completely polished each section remove residue with a TRC Creature Premium Blend Microfibre Towel.
