McKee’s 37 Headlight Protectant Spray is an advanced polymer sealant designed to protect plastic headlight lenses and other clear plastic surfaces from UV damage, water and environmental contaminants. Its cross-linking polymer technology forms a clear, durable protective layer that helps prevent yellowing, fading and discolouration.
Suitable for clear plastic headlights, vinyl windows, motorcycle windscreens and a wide range of plastic surfaces, this protectant helps maintain optical clarity and preserve the appearance of treated materials.
Most modern vehicles feature polycarbonate plastic headlight lenses, which offer excellent impact and abrasion resistance but can be vulnerable to UV exposure. Over time, sunlight and environmental conditions may cause plastic lenses to fade, yellow or discolour, potentially reducing nighttime visibility.
Versatile Plastic Protection
In addition to headlight lenses, McKee’s 37 Headlight Protectant Spray can be used on:
- Instrument panels
- Vinyl convertible windows
- Plastic windscreens
- Goggles and visors
- Motorcycle headlamps
- Fibreglass
- Plexiglass and acrylic
- Clear or coloured plastics
How to use
- Ensure surface is clean, cool to the touch and free of oxidation or yellowing
- McKee’s 37 Headlight Protectant Spray is designed for use on plastic lenses that are free from oxidation and yellowing. If restoration is required, first polish the headlights using McKee’s 37 All In One Headlight Restoring Polish to improve clarity and create a clean surface for the protectant to bond to.
- Apply to a microfibre applicator sponge and spread evenly on the surface.
- Alternatively, you can spray product directly onto surface and evenly distribute using a microfiber towel.
- Flip towel over and lightly buff area.
- Apply a second coat to ensure even coverage.
- Any accidental overspray on compatible paint, glass or plastic surfaces can be wiped away easily.
Regular application of McKee’s 37 Headlight Protectant Spray helps protect against UV-induced deterioration, supporting clearer headlight lenses and improved long-term appearance.
Protecting your headlights before oxidation and fading occur can help reduce the need for future restoration.
